Cappella Newcastle invite you to come and join the dance in a programme of music full of waltzes, jigs and jives. Our programme of music for a summer’s evening includes extracts from Brahms’ Liebeslied Waltzes and Elgar’s suite of pieces entitled From the Bavarian Highlands. We are also lucky to be joined by pianists Julia Kennard and Oona Shrimpton who will perform some of Dvorak’s Slavonic Dances.

The programme will also include some more light-hearted repertoire including arrangement of Begin the Beguine, A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square and The Owl and the Pussy Cat.
